Autumn Fest

Child with painted rock

Once again, the WCA hosted one of the main attractions at Carling Township’s annual Autumn Fest. The event was held in the Hockey Rink on a beautiful fall day.

The WCA table was a big hit for budding artists. Council candidate, Bruce Kelly, and wife, Jennifer, along with Peter and Polly Pook, filled the table with all kinds of smooth rocks for the kids to choose and paint. Pam Wing, another council candidate, supplied lots of different paints and brushes. The township wisely protected the table and floor with plastic wrap though most of the paint actually got onto the rocks. Wise parents rolled up sleeves!

Dog ShowAbout 30 kids of all ages created their very own masterpieces. Pam Wing organized this event for the second time this summer.  It is sure to become an annual event for the WCA to sponsor.

Bruce Kelly was also one of the co-ordinators of Carling’s very own annual Dog Show. Look out Westminster Dog Show!

WCA Fall Fest Table

This event attracted about 50 dogs of all sizes, shapes and colours. To make sure everyone went home happy, prizes were awarded to every contestant for categories like shortest dog, smallest dog, even best tail wagging dog.
